How old are you?
That’s such a simple question. Or is it?
Depending on your answer it could determine your future and possibly the future of those who depend on you.
As age is a natural part of our existence and something we all have to cope with, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the process of ‘life’ would be something we’d all understand and respect. Alarmingly, nothing could be further from the truth. And sadly, the more we progress the more we seem to regress.
This book seeks to correct the misguided notion that the older you become the less value you are to business or society. It will challenge the current trend that ‘Zest is Best’ by hopefully changing forever, the negative way many think about aging and aging process.
I therefore encourage you to share whatever you may glean from this book in context with your own life experience. Especially with those who’ve yet to make crucial decisions that could affect their future but who may lack the wisdom to fully understand or appreciate the consequences of their actions.
The Company Cat edition by Chris Flynn SelfHelp eBooks
The Company Cat addresses an all too common problem, which is - the value of matured aged workers within the workplace...Chris Flynn has a pragmatic and simple approach to addressing the misconceptions and workplace prejudices which the young and up coming worker may harbour against mature aged workers...Chris also reflex on how a matured aged worker could better fit into an ever changing and fast paced workplace, where experience is being sold out for speed and more profit..
An insightful and easy read, where you instantly relate to the main character 'Harry the Cat' who is appealing and the analogy to workplace prejudices is identifiable. Rarely are there books that address the issues of age related prejudices in such a manner that both encompasses the thoughts and emotions of the young and mature.
I gave it 4 stars as it was an honest attempt at reaching out and appealing to all age groups, who would benefit from it's words and written in a language that all can understand. A short but insightful book.
